Rock placement

Tideway has spent years developing special stone placement equipment and techniques for pipeline stabilisation.

Throughout the world, we now offer a wide variety of pipeline related services, including:

preparation of the seabed prior to pipelay or platform installation
scour prevention around structures
pipeline protection against anchor damage, trawler boards, etc.
freespan correction
offshore ballasting works
upheaval buckling prevention
Insulation of pipelines.

For the rock dumping works, we use our D.P. Fall Pipe Vessel "Rollingstone" with a loading capacity of approx. 11,500 tons, our D.P. Fall Pipe Vessel "Seahorse" with a loading capacity of approx. 18,000 tons and our D.P. Fall Pipe Vessel "Flintstone" with a loading capacity of approx. 20,000 tons.

All three vessels are fully certified Class II D.P. Vessels, inclusive completed FMEA trials and can therefore operate, if necessary, within 500 metre zones and close to platforms/structures without tug assistance.

Furthermore we have available the D.P. Side Stone Dumping Vessel Pompeï with a loading capacity of approx. 1,200 tons.
