Zeepipe Development Project

The works for the 40” Zeepipe Gas Pipeline involved dredging and marine operations both offshore and on the landfall at Zeebrugge, Belgium. Extensive dredging works were carried out in the shallow surf zones by cutter dredgers. In the Scheur shipping channel and Wielingen coastal fairway, dredging operations were carried out by assistance of hopper dredgers. At the Belgium and Dutch continental shelf pre-sweeping i.e. removal of sand dunes were performed prior pipelay.
