Europipe Development Project

The 40” Gas Pipeline Section with a length of approx. 12 km, is located in the national park of the Waddenzee. In Northern Germany, an unique and highly sensitive ecological area, the pipeline has had to cross sandbanks, tidal mudflats and coastal dykes with the minimum of environmental interface.

A fleet of 25 dredging vessels and seagoing barges were required to
meet the operational conditions.

This fleet included:

Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers
Cutter Suction Dredgers
Loading Barges
Backhoe Dredgers

All above mentioned vessels were equipped to comply with zero dumping restriction.
