Malampaya Field Development

Rock placement works have been carried out on various pipelines for the Malampaya Project, located in
the South China Sea offshore the Island of Palawan in the Philippines. All rock placement operations were carried out by D.P. Fall Pipe Vessel “Rollingstone” in water depths ranging from –12 meters to – 875 meters..

The rock placement operations included the following activities:

Set-up / management of rock loading facility
Protection / stabilization of 24” Gas Export Pipeline at shore approach / landfall location at Batangas
Cable / Pipeline crossing protection works
Pre- and post-lay rock berms at various locations along the 500 km 24” Gas Export Pipeline
Freespan correction works along the 30 km pipeline route of the twin 16” Two Phase Flowlines
Stabilization berms at the 24” Condensate Storage Pipeline
Installation of protection blanket over an ammunition dumping area.
