Gibraltar Pipelines
The Gibraltar Crossing included the installation of two dual 22” diameter pipelines between Spain and Morocco.
The contract for both landfall construction works included the following activities,
which were executed by a wide variety of vessels:
- Soil investigation
- Seabed preparation works
- Rock removal
- Cofferdam construction
- Shore approach / Trench dredging
- Pipe pulling assistance
- Sand backfill operations
- Rock backfill as pipeline protection
- Beach nourishment works
